GENERAL
OVERVIEW

When his peaceful life on The Disc is shattered by the coming of a powerful invader, Hero leaps into his simulated training ground to prepare to defend his home. Ten levels of run and gun action stand between him and the end of the test. Armed only with his own athletics and the innate ability to shoot blasts of energy, Hero will do all in his power to ensure he's strong enough to keep The Disc safe!

Battle deadly robots of all shapes and sizes across factories, forests, lakes of lava, soaring air-ships, bottomless oceans, even outer space! And should Hero survive, the simulator itself waits to unleash The DirexBot, its most awesome and dangerous creation, to stop Hero in his tracks once and for all!

This floating fortress is old and withered but Weapons Systems are still online.
Could this power plant be bringing more than Hero's deadly foes to life?
Hero had better hope Heat Land's Giant isn't working with his enemies!

-
10 Levels of Action
-
Over 20 Unique Hazards
-
20 Song Original Soundtrack
Hero's DirexOS Computer System has built eight gauntlets to clear.
Hero is presented with two levels to choose from. When that level is complete the next choice of two levels will appear. The stages on the left are generally easier while the levels on the right are guarded by a giant and are tougher to complete. Choose whichever difficulty works best for you!

After completing four stages Hero takes on the ultimate DirexOS challenge- Two new levels that utilize ALL of the enemies, hazards and mechanics of the eight that can come before.

CHARACTERS

Our hero, pun intended, is the caretaker of
FamiCity and was the sole inhabitant of
The Disc until his computer warned him that a
second city would soon rise to rival his own.

Hero never questioned why he
took care of FamiCity or what
the purpose behind his tasks
really was but this threat lit a fire
in him regardless.
Feeling unprepared for a confrontation,
Hero wastes no time and begins training to
defend his home from whatever may be
coming to take it.
Whether or not he succeeds
is up to you.

The Weather Conductor - the Giant of Wood Land.
Her name and origins are unknown but she has no fondness for Hero wandering through her domain. The longer Hero takes the worse the weather becomes! Try to get by her quickly.

Vanamo - the Giant of Quick Land.
With a studious mind he ensures that the simulation makes logical sense. Despite constantly making Quick Land's hazards harder to dodge, Vanamo really roots for Hero.
Dahrm - The Giant of Heat Land.
Dahrm is duty-bound and has little time to observe or interfere with Hero. Unfortunately, Dahrm's job is to fuel the rock refinery, powering the obstacles that Hero must traverse.
The Watcher - The Giant of Flash Land
The job of The Watcher is classified and possibly the most important task being managed inside the DirexOS Simulator. Unfortunately he's easily distracted by new things to watch, including Hero.

I'm here too. Always here.
GAME LEVELS

Neither should you.
There's nothing out here anyway

The Hub of the DirexOS Simulator gives Hero his choice of level. Make your decision and leap on the teleport pad to see Hero whisked away to the destination!

Hero isn't going anywhere, in actuality. The Simulator is just loading the new map around him on the spot! Don't tell Hero, he likes believing he can really go to different worlds.

The DirexOS Computer can simulate an environments based on anything that it's seen, which asks a few questions about the nature of The Disc but Hero doesn't think about any of that either.
Enjoy them before I reach them.
Windzen can't keep me out forever.

Metal Land
Magnetic conveyor belts try to pull you into the teeth of grinding gears. Shifting platforms slide away to drop you into the depths.
The point is- mind your step.

Quick Land
Vanamo will watch your progress carefully, laughing at your mistakes but ready to cheer for your inevitable triumph!
After a while the machines will get faster. Be swift!

Air Land
If it weren't for the soft clouds this airship wouldn't be traversable at all! Broken batteries will shock and broken wooden spikes will crush!
Make the most of the sunlight- It won't last forever!

Wood Land
The Weather Conductor will use ice, fire and wind to slow your progress. Nature itself live in her atrium and it won't be friendly to Hero either.
Don't take any platform for granted.

Crash Land
This power plant is storing massive amounts of energy for an unknown purpose. It may be the most heavily defended area of the Simulator.
A strange feeling of Déjà vu surrounds this place.

Flash Land
This strange place feels incomplete somehow but The Watcher will ensure Hero can't get stranded in its broken landscape.
Some platforms are made of glass. Handle with care!

Bubble Land
The bottom of the ocean is filled with discarded mines and lost, crumbling architecture.
Sometimes what you can't see in the light is visible in the shadows!

Heat Land
If the heat wasn't simulated it would be unbearable. Lava pours from pipes, molten rock is tossed at Hero's feet.
The enemies here were built to last- Be warned!
THE ORIGINAL

The Windzen Hero is a full 3D remake of Windzen's first game, 'Entertainment Hero' from 2017. It was a valiant first attempt in our humble opinions but it had every flaw common to an untested two-man team and many uncommon flaws too.
We wanted the original remade but we didn't want it gone.
'Entertainment Hero' has been patched up and is still included with The Windzen Hero on Steam. Check it out if you want to see how far we've come in just a bit under ten years

FINAL WORD

Game making takes a lot of time and effort for just two people. That being the case, we don't make games that we don't believe in.
The Windzen Hero is a labor of love and we think it shows. We made the game that we wanted to see in the world because the higher powers of the industry seem to have lost interest in the genre.

We hope we've done something special and helped make a mark on this tried and true formula, and most of all we hope that we've made a game that you have fun playing.
